Mental Health and Suicide Prevention: Let’s Talk About It

Dismantle stigma and promote a supportive work environment with essential knowledge of mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and their prevalence within the community.  Engage in guided discussions about emotional well-being, the stigma surrounding mental health, and the critical factors that contribute to suicide. This course equips participants with the skills to recognize signs of distress and provides intervention strategies along with local resources for support.

Course Objectives:

  • Gain awareness of the commonality of mental health and addiction within the community.
  • Learn to identify the signs and symptoms of deteriorating mental health, substance use issues, and potential suicide risks.
  • Develop practical strategies for timely intervention and support in a crisis.
